We position the yarn like this, the short end toward you and the long end, the working yarn, on the other side, toward the outside, outwards.

We wrap the yarn around our fingers,

then insert the crochet hook under the first yarn

and pick up the second one.

Then, pick up the long yarn and pass it through that loop that is to make a chain .

pass the hook under the yarn,
